Well deserved Scotch on the Rocks
Well worth the Calories
TGIF again. I am so happy it has come. This week I have switched to just plain old scotch on the rocks after all the complaints last week of me mixing my Bourbon with Pepsi Max. Hope this makes you all happy. I am certainly feeling a little happier now that I have the first double slotted down my throat and on to my second while my curry bolognaise sits and stews and the smell is driving me crazy till it’s ready.
Had a great day today at Wingate. I started with a 9km run half sand road half dunes. I am not pushing my speed to much to avoid aggravating my Achilles problem but so far things have been ok and I am almost running fit again. I then went to push weights in the gym for an hour. This was followed by a great spinning class with Chen who is also an awesome instructor with good taste in music .To end it all off for desert I swam a very easy 1km in the pool and headed for a great sauna. Felt like a million $ afterwards. All in all by the time I turned my watch off I had burnt 2770 calories. Whoohoooooo.
This means I can eat very well for Shabbos which is my over eating day of the week, not with junk but real food and I try to get at least an extra 1000 calories in my system today excluding the whisky I hope. My total burning of calories for the week is 10470 . That’s quite a lot since Sunday. Maybe a little too much but it felt good doing it. It’s mostly because I ran 4 times this week. Just the run and the 20 minutes resting afterwards comes to around 1200 calories.
Somebody from the new group that has started came up to me today and asked how many hours I do in a week at Winlife. I found myself trying to under quote him to not get him despondent. I told him 12 hours which means 4 times a week in the program and told him its only lately and in the beginning I only came 3 times a week
, a small white lie I am glad this blog is not known yet to the rest of the people there as I don’t want to discourage them. Not everyone has to do the amount I am doing .I am simply a Spaddict (Sports Addict for those not acquainted with the term yet-Shame on you all) and need my 12-15 hours a week in order to get my fix. If you want to lose weight and maintain it a hour a day with the right diet is also enough.
Anyways I am in the pre shabbos rush and need to run.
Shabbat Shalom to all.
