Spaddict’s Array of Sports

Below are all the sports I partake in on a regular basis some more than others. Have a look at these links below and some of my personal thoughts, experiences and some useful resources.

Aerobics, Cycling, KickBoxing, Running, Spinning , Swimming, Water Aerobics . I am looking for more but so many sports so little time and funds :)

 Keeping your exercise interesting, Challenging and fun are the keys to becoming a real Sports Addict. It is also crucial to cross train as much as possible to give your body the overall workout it needs and build up strength and co-ordination.

Don’t ever get bogged down inside the gym just working machines and stepping onto a treadmill. Get some fresh air by doing outdoor activities and find different classes that keep it interesting and most of all FUN. If you dread going to a particular activity try something else  but always keep trying. I personally don’t like being inside the gym much. Ask s many questions as you need to make sure you are performing the exercises correctly. Pick classes where the instructors actually care about the individual and correct students who are not maintaining correct posture and form to avoid injury.

Keep in mind that certain exercises burn more calories and are more intense than others but still do the less calorie strength building exercises. One of the key ingredients is to weight loss is muscle gain. The More muscle you gain the more calories your body burns naturally without exercising

 Try to exercise with a Heart Rate monitor to track the amount of calories you are burning and also to listen to your body when its screaming at you to slow it down a little : )  Happens a lot with me .

One other key factor I mention here and will re-iterate throughout my sure is if you don’t eat correctly it does not matter how much you exercise you will gain weight. I don’t think you should have a problem in this area if you are doing the amount of sports I do because it’s just a shame to waste all the sweat and hard work it takes just to burn off the calories and you wont want to do it.
