Counting your calories really does work !!!
After a few months of injury I gained a few pounds and was finding it hard to strip them off. Of course I blamed the injury and not my diet. I started an excel spreadsheet to start really taking note of what and how much I am eating. After watching a TV program on dieting they mentioned that even when we write things down we will generally “forget” about 40-50% of the things we eat and not count in things that are healthy. Let me tell you its completely true.
Even as I was filling out the spreadsheet in the day I would have to force myself to be meticulous about it otherwise I had a tendency to not want to fill it in . This made me stop and think every time I ate something of the amount eaten in the day. As I watch the numbers add up I realized I must have been eating at least 3000 calories a day. No wonder I was no loosing! One week I have been controlling it and one week later I lost 1kg.
